A career in government communications has taught me the value of putting people at the centre of my work, and working in large public sector organisations set a standard for me in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and clear, impactful communication.

But my work also created distance between me and the people I wanted to support.

I created In the Beginning in Spring 2025 to close the gap and take a more hands-on, creative approach—helping businesses craft authentic narratives and connect directly with their audiences.

I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember, from scribbling notes in the margins to creating commissioned fiction for personal joy. A few years later, I picked up a camera too.

Now in my late twenties, I’ve been searching for something that brings all of this together: a drive to create, to tell authentic stories, and offer a bespoke service that offers something small businesses can rely on.

When I’m not behind a laptop, you can usually find me walking through the Black Mountains, Wye Valley or around Monmouthshire. I’m really passionate about the environment and animal welfare, and trying to spend as much as my life offline so I can make the online world a richer place.

I value sustainability, transparency, and capturing moments of honesty that show who you really are and where you want to go.
